Every child seen.
Every child safe.
Koukoutsa was started in 2025 by a group of concerned parents, with one goal: that no child is ever forgotten.
From a children’s game to a commitment to safety
We are parents. We know the busy mornings, the rush and the worry until we hear that our child has arrived. That’s where we started.
What does “koukoutsa” mean?
In Greek, “koukoutsa” means “peekaboo”: a simple, joyful game that celebrates connection, presence, and the delight of being seen. At its heart, koukoutsa reflects this very essence: ensuring every child is seen, remembered, and safe.
How we started
In 2025, a group of concerned parents faced a hard truth: busy days, exhaustion and human error have led to tragic cases of children forgotten in cars. We decided not to stand by, and built a tool that helps parents and teachers keep children safe.
What we do
We give schools a simple way to record attendance and alert parents immediately when a child is missing. On the same platform, the school communicates with parents, shares each child’s day and organises its entire daily operation.
Why we do it
For us, Koukoutsa isn’t just a platform. It’s a commitment to children’s safety, support for parents and a tool that empowers teachers.
What guides us
To make children’s safety simple: real-time attendance and an immediate alert to parents when a child is missing.
A world where every child is safe and communication between school and family is instant.
Technology that supports parents, empowers teachers and always puts the child first.
What parents and schools say
“No child forgotten in the car by tired parents. Thank you, Koukoutsa!”
“In the rush of the day, I feel that Koukoutsa is an extra safety net for our children, and personally it makes me feel calmer.”
“An excellent app that covers every need a parent has. It gives us peace of mind about our child’s safety, and at the same time brings all of the school’s communication, from activities to announcements, into one place, making our lives easier.”
“For us the platform isn’t just a notification. It’s an extra pair of eyes looking out for our children’s safety. It reassures us that if something doesn’t go as expected, the parent will be informed immediately, and we won’t be left to discover it later.”
